Job description

Position Overview
Operate and program CNC Lathes (3 & 4 AXIS Lathes ) to produce precision metal parts based on engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure machine efficiency, maintain equipment, and inspect finished products for quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and efficient machine setups.
  • Collaborate with engineering and CAM programming to develop and refine CNC programs.
  • Design and assist in fabricating fixtures for complex parts.
  • Identify and recommend technical improvements to enhance production.
  • Operate machines to complete production runs.
  • Maintain quality standards and adhere to the Quality Management System.
  • Monitor and document machine performance and operational issues.
  • Build effective working relationships with team members and supervisors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred.
  • 8+ years of CNC machine operation experience.
  • Proficiency in G & M code editing and advanced blueprint reading.


Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise in reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Advanced knowledge of machine programming, setup, and operation.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
