We seek a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Schedule: This is a 24 hour a week Part Time Position. The pharmacy is open Monday and Wednesday from 9:00am to 5:30pm CST and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm CT with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm CT and the manager is willing to work with you on the schedule. 

Location: 325 SW Frazier Avenue, Suite 210, Topeka, KS, 66606.  Located within Astra Mental Health and Recovery (formerly Family Service and Guidance Center)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in state of Kansas or the ability to obtain within 14 days of offer acceptance and prior to start date
  • Access to reliable transportation

PreferreQualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience 
  • Immunization certified technician 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
