Job description

Job Title: Site Supervisor - Flag Football (Seasonal - Part-time)

Department: Parks and Recreation

Pay Scale: $11.68 - $17.45 per hour (DOE)

FLSA Code: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Recreation Superintendent and/or Recreation Coordinator, the Site Supervisor manages referees, games, and competitions. They explain and enforce rules, assess referees, maintain order at program facilities, and time management.ย  All games held on Tues/Thurs evenings at Anderson Farms Park.

Duties/Responsibilities

โ€ขAttend all trainings and work all scheduled games.
โ€ขResponsible for referees to fill out the time clock in and clock out sheet.
โ€ขMaintain control of leagues and represent Lindon Parks & Recreation in a positive manner.
โ€ขEnforce rules and safety precautions of the sport, facility, and field.
โ€ขAssist participants and referees and respond to questions and concerns.
โ€ขManage field set-up and clean-up.
โ€ขCheck equipment prior to game; ensure all referees are equipped properly for participation.
โ€ขMaintain a safe and positive work environment.
โ€ขNotify Superintendent or Coordinator of problems and/or concerns regarding facilities, coaches, participants, equipment, coworkers, and spectators.

Required Skills/Abilities
โ€ขStrong background in the specific sport; referee or umpire experience preferred.
โ€ขKnowledge of designated sport and standard rules preferred.
โ€ขKnowledge of standard safety practices.
โ€ขMust be 16 years or older. High school senior or graduate preferred.
โ€ขAbility to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
โ€ขAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, department personnel, and the public.
โ€ขAbility to maintain control of referees, coaches, and spectators in a courteous and tactful manner.
