Job Summary:
Join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician and make a difference in the lives of our clients. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to support our clients in their recovery journey. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to program expectations, participating in treatment planning, assisting with daily activities, facilitating groups, providing transportation, and creating a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
  • Encourage clients to adhere to program expectations and rules
  • Participate in treatment teams and document client progress
  • Facilitate group sessions and educational programs
  • Provide transportation and support daily activities as needed
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, report maintenance issues, and adhere to program policies and procedures

Residential Facility:
  • Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients
  • Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and medication administration
  • Assist with personal care (e.g. grooming, bathing, dressing) as needed
  • Ensure client safety and supervision, including regular checks
  • Facilitate client participation in program activities and services

Residential Care Facility (RCF):
  • Assist with personal care (e.g. grooming, bathing, dressing) as needed
  • Monitor vital signs and medication administration
  • Ensure client safety and supervision, including regular checks
  • Facilitate client participation in program activities and services
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes

Withdrawal Management:
  • Monitor clients for signs and symptoms of withdrawal
  • Ensure safe and effective management of withdrawal symptoms
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor effects
  • Provide support and encouragement throughout the withdrawal process

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
  • High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years responsible employment
  • Experience in Human Services or related field preferred

Required License/Certification:
  • Within the first ninety (90) days in position (for Residential Care Facility): Become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified
