Job description

Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC:

The Music Director provides comprehensive musical leadership in support of the Command Religious Program at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. This role supports both Catholic and Protestant worship services by delivering high-quality instrumental accompaniment, choral direction, and music program coordination to enhance congregational worship and participation.

Duties:
  • Provide piano and organ accompaniment for worship services and special events
  • Lead and direct choirs and congregational singing
  • Select and teach appropriate worship music (traditional and contemporary)
  • Conduct weekly rehearsals and additional practices as needed
  • Coordinate music plans with the Chaplain and Technical Representative
  • Support seasonal services, memorials, and special programs
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in piano and organ performance
  • Ability to sight-read music
  • Experience with liturgical and/or contemporary Christian worship formats
  • Minimum 2 years of music ministry experience (military or civilian church setting):
