Job description

Overview

You know that person who can walk into a room and instantly make everyone feel welcome?

The one who remembers names, keeps calm when things get busy, loves checking things off a list, and somehow makes multitasking look effortless? That's exactly who we're looking for.

At Drybar, we believe one thing very strongly: focus on one thing and be the best at it. For us, that's blowouts. No cuts. No color. Just blowouts.

Our front desk team isn't called Receptionists-we call them Bartenders because they're serving up confidence, connection, and an unforgettable experience from the moment a guest walks through our doors until the moment they leave feeling like their best self. As a Bartender, you're so much more than the person behind the desk. You're the first smile. The friendly face. The problem solver. The schedule magician. The hype person. The energy setter. You're the heartbeat of the shop.

If you love talking to people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy staying organized, and genuinely care about making someone's day a little brighter-we think you'll fit right in. Good vibes only. Always.

Who thrives here?

You might be perfect for this role if you...

  • Love making people feel welcome and taken care of.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
  • Can juggle multiple things without losing your smile.
  • Naturally notice what needs to be done before someone asks.
  • Love working with a team and celebrating wins together.
  • Have a positive attitude that people genuinely enjoy being around.
  • Aren't afraid to chat with guest

Weekend availability is required, and reliability is non-negotiable. Our team counts on one another, and our guests count on us.

What You'll Love About Working Here

Competitive pay with the opportunity to earn $15-$25 per hour (hourly pay plus membership commissions)

Paid training and ongoing development

Flexible scheduling

Complimentary blowouts

Generous discounts on products and styling tools

Fun, upbeat shop culture where you'll genuinely enjoy coming to work

Dress code that's polished but comfortable: black, white, grey, yellow, and denim

What You'll Be Doing

Every day looks a little different, but you can expect to:

  • Create an exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out.
  • Welcome every guest with warmth, energy, and genuine hospitality.
  • Build relationships that turn first-time guests into loyal Drybar regulars.
  • Keep the front desk running smoothly by managing reservations, answering phones, updating guest profiles, and solving scheduling challenges.
  • Support our stylists by helping the day flow efficiently behind the scenes.
  • Keep the shop beautiful by restocking products, organizing retail displays, maintaining cleanliness, and completing daily side work.
  • Be a team player who jumps in wherever needed because everyone succeeds together.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced guest-focused environment.
  • Previous experience with POS systems is a plus.
  • Salon, spa, beauty, or hospitality experience is helpful but not required-we can teach the technical stuff.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a genuine love for people.
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to stay positive and professional during busy periods.
  • Comfortable standing and walking throughout a 6-8 hour shift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Weekend availability required.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is dependable, coachable, hardworking, and excited to create amazing experiences every single day.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
