Job description

Title: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Teacher
Reports to: Campus Minister and Principal
Job Goal: The ideal candidate is a catechist with experience in CGS to direct the growing program within the school. At minimum, the catechist will be Certified in Level 1 and 2, have experience with materials making, be able to guide the children, and develop the program. The position is part time (approximately 16 hours/week) to be determined at hire.
Performance Responsibilities:
Model Christian behavior in accordance with HFRS mission and philosophy whereby all are treated with dignity and respect.
Understand and uphold the Archdiocese of Detroit contract for employment and the specifications it contains regarding the expectations of a Catholic school employee.
Assist with the logistics and execution of the Catechesis of the Shepherd program.
Support teachers with resources and classroom visits pertaining to faith formation.
Create visual displays to enhance the liturgical season and support school theme.
Attends all required school meetings and events
