Position Summary

The Cafe Busser plays a key role in supporting Cafe operations within the museum's food and beverage program. This position is responsible for maintaining clean and organized dining areas, assisting service staff, and ensuring guests receive an exceptional dining experience. The Cafe Busser works closely with Cafe Station Attendants and culinary team members to support efficient operations and create a welcoming environment for all guests.

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 - $26.00 and is tip eligible.

Oak View Group is proud to operate the food and beverage program at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. The hospitality operation features a diverse portfolio of dining experiences, including a multi-concept cafe, a modern luxury restaurant, a licensed Starbucks location, and a robust special events catering program. The team is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through outstanding food, service, and hospitality within one of the nation's premier cultural destinations.

Responsibilities
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently throughout service in the cafe.
  • Assist Cafe Station Attendants by delivering food items, condiments, and other guest requests as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, cafe seating areas, service stations, and guest-facing spaces.
  • Refill ice, glassware, silverware, napkins, condiments, and other supplies throughout shifts.
  • Transport dishes, glassware, and utensils to dishwashing areas.
  • Support both cafe and restaurant operations based on business needs and event schedules.
  • Assist with opening and closing side work duties.
  • Maintain clean floors, tables, chairs, and surrounding dining areas.
  • Support cafe staff during busy service periods to ensure efficient operations.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Assist with banquet and special event setup or breakdown when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.
Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
