Part Time Business information

What is a part time business?

A Part Time Business job typically refers to a role where an individual works fewer hours than a full-time position while managing or contributing to business operations. This can include freelancing, consulting, running a small business, or working a flexible corporate role. These jobs are ideal for those seeking work-life balance, supplemental income, or gradual business growth. Responsibilities vary widely depending on the industry and specific job role.

What kinds of tasks and responsibilities are typical in a part time business role?

In a part-time business role, your daily tasks may include administrative support, basic bookkeeping, customer service, data entry, or assisting with project coordination, depending on the industry and specific company needs. You might also be responsible for maintaining records, updating databases, or helping with marketing and communications initiatives. These roles typically involve working closely with other team members and departments, often providing critical support to keep operations running smoothly. Part-time schedules can offer flexibility, making these roles ideal for balancing work with personal or educational commitments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a part time business position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a part-time business position, you should possess basic business acumen, organizational abilities, and at least a high school diploma or relevant experience. Familiarity with common business software such as Microsoft Office, basic accounting tools, or point-of-sale systems is often expected. Strong interpersonal communication, dependability, and time management are standout soft skills for this type of role. These skills and qualities ensure you can efficiently handle tasks, collaborate with others, and contribute value within a flexible, often fast-paced work environment.

Job description

About Us

Cadet Property & Association Management is an owner-led property and association management firm built on Clarity, Control, and Accountability. We work with boards that want direct access to leadership, transparent fee structures, and consistent, documented workflows.

The Role

We’re hiring a part-time Business Development & Client Relations Coordinator to manage lead follow-up, schedule and attend board meetings, conduct site visits, and clearly communicate why boards should choose Cadet. After a board selects us, you’ll coordinate onboarding and transition steps to ensure a smooth start.

Important: Pricing, proposals, and contracts are handled exclusively by the Founder.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to inbound leads and referrals promptly; keep opportunities moving
  • Qualify prospects (community type, unit/parcel count, pain points, decision timeline)
  • Schedule discovery calls, site visits, and board meeting presentations
  • Conduct site visits and provide structured notes and observations
  • Attend board meetings (in-person/virtual) and present our value proposition
  • Handle common questions and objections while staying within role boundaries
  • Coordinate onboarding/transition steps after selection (document collection, kickoff scheduling, timeline tracking)
  • Maintain accurate pipeline notes and provide recaps/updates (including a meeting recap within 24 hours)
Requirements
  • Experience in business development, client relations, property management, or a board-facing service role
  • Strong communication skills (phone, email, in-person)
  • Comfortable attending board meetings and conducting site visits
  • Highly organized; able to track multiple opportunities and deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Professional, discreet, and trustworthy with confidential information
Preferred
  • HOA/condo association management experience (or related vendor/service experience)
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi) and basic reporting
  • Bilingual (English/Haitian Creole or Spanish) is a plus
Schedule & Flexibility
  • Up to 15 hours/week
  • Flexibility required for evening board meetings and occasional site visits
