We work with organizations across multiple industries and are expanding our presence within the healthcare sector.

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Industry Sales & Business Development Director to lead business development and client acquisition across the healthcare industry.

This is a sales-focused role for someone who understands the healthcare marketplace, has experience selling products or services to healthcare organizations, and ideally has an established network of healthcare contacts.

You will identify healthcare organizations that need professional services and introduce them to Acumen’s capabilities, develop relationships with decision-makers, generate opportunities, and close new business.

  • Develop proposals, presentations, and commercial opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close contracts and recurring engagements.
  • Build long-term client relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships within the healthcare industry.
  • Help recruit, train, and mentor additional healthcare business development representatives as the division grows.
  • Build a scalable healthcare sales pipeline across local, national, and international markets.

Healthcare Markets

We are interested in candidates with experience selling into areas such as:

  • Hospitals and health systems
  • Medical and specialty clinics
  • Physicians and medical practices
  • Dental practices
  • Long-term care and senior care
  • Pharmacies
  • Laboratories and diagnostic organizations

  • Healthcare technology companies
  • Health and wellness organizations
  • Mental health and behavioral health organizations
  • Home healthcare
  • Healthcare startups
  • Private healthcare organizations
  • Government and public-sector healthcare organizations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in healthcare sales, healthcare business development, healthcare consulting, medical sales, or related healthcare commercial roles.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its decision-making structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, network, develop relationships, and close business.
  • Existing healthcare contacts and professional relationships are a significant advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable with both high-volume prospecting and senior-level relationship development.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and results-oriented.
  • Experience leading or training sales/business development teams is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Career Opportunity

This position initially operates on a performance-based compensation structure tied to measurable business development results and successful client acquisition.

As the healthcare division grows, there is an opportunity to transition into a full-time salaried leadership position, with the potential to build and lead a larger healthcare sales organization.
