The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra – You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a  Sr Engineering Business Analyst.

Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst leads the management and analysis of product development processes to improve efficiency and accuracy while enabling enabling informed, data-driven decision-making. This role partners with program teams and functional managers to drive clarity and a common understanding of product development health. 

What You Do: 
As a Senior Business Analyst – Product Development Strategy & Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence across the product development lifecycle. Your key responsibilities include mapping and analyzing current business processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness. You will lead process transformation or re-engineering initiatives, ensuring that improvements are aligned with organizational goals and support the delivery of high-quality products. 

You will plan and facilitate collaborative workshops with cross-functional teams to capture insights, foster alignment, and drive consensus on key decisions. Gathering, analyzing, and refining business and functional requirements will be central to your role, ensuring that all stakeholders’ needs are clearly understood and documented. Additionally, you will define and monitor meaningful metrics to evaluate process performance and inform continuous improvement efforts. 

Developing comprehensive communications plans is essential to ensure clear and consistent messaging throughout the organization. You will support organizational change management initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to address challenges and promote adoption of new processes and tools. Furthermore, you will design and deliver effective training programs tailored to diverse audiences, empowering teams to succeed in a dynamic product development environment. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enable an efficient, continuous-learning product development culture by driving continuous improvement in program operations (processes, tools, and communications). Support clear alignment across product development by delivering tools and processes that provide concise, accurate communication.

  • Drive cross-functional program collaboration by delivering and supporting processes and tools that enable efficient program operation. 

Knowledge Sharing 

  • Ensure every team member has the knowledge, tools, and direction needed to be successful through training and support. Identify and fill gaps by connecting individuals with relevant experts. 

Education Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Technical Bachelor’s Degree Strongly Preferred 

Experience Requirements:  

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders 
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority 

Technical Proficiency/Tool Experience 

  • JIRA  
    • Administrator-level experience preferred 
    • Experience creating filters using JQL and Basic search 
    • Dashboard gadget configuration 
    • Knowledge of backend workflow creation and impacts 
  • Power BI 
    • Experience leveraging datasets outside of Power BI 
    • Ability to merge relevant data sources 
    • Creation of user-friendly dashboards to support reporting needs 
  • PLM / Product Lifecycle Management Software

    • Primary use for communication and file sharing

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
