Upon Hire:(Listed below are the State and Federal Requirements for Operating a School Bus in Minnesota. Other variables may disqualify individuals based on specific criteria, including criminal offenses, driving violations, or failure to meet health standards.)

  • A valid CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, and no Airbrake restrictions, is required.
  • Successful completion of a Pre-Employment Drug Test, along with Federal Random Drug Testing, is mandatory.
  • A passable Pre-Employment Physical Assessment must be completed.
  • A passable Medical Examination for the DOT Health Card must be completed.
  • Paid behind-the-wheel training will be provided.
  • A Road Test will be completed and administered by a State Certified Examiner.
