Job description

Position: Breakfast Attendant

Reports To: General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Breakfast Lead

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience during breakfast service by preparing and presenting food in a clean and organized environment, providing exceptional service, and maintaining health and safety standards. This role is integral to delivering a welcoming and satisfying experience for guests each morning, reflecting the high standards of hospitality that our company upholds.ย 

Pay Range: $16.00 - $16.50 based on experience and qualifications

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of breakfast items according to standard recipes.ย 
  • Greet all guests with a warm, friendly smile and a positive attitude, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.ย 
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area, including cleaning tables and service stations, and adhering to all health codes.ย 
  • Ensure all food items are available and replenished throughout the breakfast service, adhering strictly to the hours of operation.ย 
  • Monitor and inspect food and beverage deliveries, ensuring portion control and quality standards are maintained.ย 
  • Provide a safe working environment by adhering to health department regulations and safety standards, including enforcing sanitation laws in the kitchen area.ย 
  • Inspect food and beverage outlets regularly for proper storage, cleanliness, and inventory rotation.ย 
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly inventory of food and beverage items to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste.ย 
  • Act as an enthusiastic, helpful, and positive member of the team, contributing to a cooperative work environment.ย 
  • Maintain professionalism and responsibility in conduct and behavior, setting a positive example for colleagues.ย 
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and maintain an open line of communication to ensure smooth operations.ย 
  • Be open to receiving feedback and use it constructively to improve performance. Assist other departments as needed, especially in emergency situations, to ensure guest satisfaction.ย 
  • Adhere to all company work rules, procedures, and policies, including those in the associate handbook.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance overall guest satisfactionย 
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and security protocols, including the proper handling of keys, lost and found items, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:ย 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.ย 
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but previous hospitality experience is a plusย 
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations and standards.ย 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Knowledge of health regulations related to food service and ability to maintain sanitation standards.ย 
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours at a time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and continuously.ย 
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks. Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to company standards.ย 
  • Food handlerโ€™s permit required if mandated by state law.ย
