Missions :

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced and high-energy environment, collaborating closely with the kitchen and service hoteliers to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests

Profile :

  • Provide excellent customer service for our guests, maintain a clean and organized bar, and ensure that drinks are prepared and served in a timely manner.

  • Greet, interact, and engage with guests in conversation and maintain a friendly atmosphere in the bar area ensuring a seamless and positive experience for guests.

  • Recommend drinks and cocktails based on guests’ preferences and knowledge of the menu, offering drink specials and promotions. Take drink orders from guests, accurately entering them into the system.

  • Create, prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction by checking in periodically and offering refills or additional drinks.

  • Collaborate with kitchen and service hoteliers, and other bartenders providing support during busy periods to ensure orders are processed correctly and served in a timely manner.

  • Assist in training new bartenders and providing guidance on the menu, drink preparation, and luxury service standards. Encourage upselling of premium drinks, cocktails, and bottle service.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding alcohol service, including verifying guest IDs and adhering to responsible alcohol service guidelines.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food and beverage preparation and handling, hygiene, sanitation of bar tools, glasses, and utensils between uses, and maintaining cleanliness in all aspects of the bar, including equipment, countertops, and surrounding areas.

  • Dispose of waste properly and ensure that trash is removed regularly from the bar area.

  • Adhere to alcohol health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all guests and hoteliers. Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and follow responsible service guidelines, ensuring guests do not drink to excess.

  • Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.

  • Stay current on bar trends, drink recipes, seasonal cocktails, wine and beer offerings, and be able to make pairing recommendations for guests.

  • Know the ingredients and preparation methods for a wide variety of cocktails, including classic drinks, new trends, and signature creations.

  • Assist in opening and closing the bar, including cleaning, and organizing the bar area, keeping track of stock levels, reporting shortages or discrepancies, and assisting in inventory checks.

  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay up-to-date with menu changes, policies, and new techniques.

  • Build morale and spirit, interact positively with hoteliers and guests, and take action to resolve problems to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

  • Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.

  • Inspire an elevated level of creativity, personal commitment to service excellence and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality to enhance the restaurant’s luxury ambience.

What you bring :

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.

  • Part-Time position.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.

  • Passionate for food and beverage, strives to exceed expectations for service excellence with demonstrated understanding of international fine dining, wine, beverage and service standards commensurate of the leading hotels in the world.
