What are part time battery consultants?

Part time battery consultants are professionals who provide expert advice and support regarding batteries, such as product selection, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, on a part-time basis. They may work for battery retailers, automotive shops, or as independent consultants, helping customers choose the right batteries for their needs. Their role often involves educating clients about battery technologies, safety practices, and proper disposal methods. By working part-time, these consultants can offer flexible support while balancing other commitments.

What are typical responsibilities and challenges faced by a Part Time Battery Consultant?

As a Part Time Battery Consultant, your main responsibilities include assisting customers in selecting the right batteries for various devices, providing technical advice, and ensuring proper inventory management. You'll often work independently or as part of a small retail or technical team, which requires strong communication and organizational skills. A common challenge in this role is staying updated on the latest battery technologies and troubleshooting unique customer issues, but it also offers valuable experience in customer service and technical sales. The position can serve as a stepping stone to more advanced roles in electronics, sales, or technical support.

What is the difference between Part Time Battery Consultant vs Part Time Electronics Sales Associate?

The choice depends on your interest in technical expertise versus retail sales in electronics.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Battery Consultant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Battery Consultant, you need solid knowledge of battery types and applications, problem-solving abilities, and often a background in sales or technical support. Strong customer service, active listening, and communication skills set top consultants apart in this role. These capabilities ensure customers receive accurate advice and solutions, fostering trust and repeat business for the company.

Job description

About Synaptic Pediatric Therapies

Synaptic Pediatric Therapies is a leading multidisciplinary pediatric clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, collaborative, and compassionate care for children and their families. Our mission is to help every child reach their full potential. We are excited to be expanding our services to include neuropsychology and are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pediatric Neuropsychologist to lead this service line.

Position Overview

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a skilled Pediatric Neuropsychologist to be the cornerstone of our new neuropsychology service line. As the sole neuropsychologist in our practice, you will have a significant impact on the integration of neuropsychological services within our care model. You will operate with clinical autonomy and strong administrative support to provide premier neuropsychology services to the community.

This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about making a lasting contribution to a growing practice. You will be based at our Richardson clinic, where you will have a dedicated private office and the resources needed for success.

This position is a flexible role where during program creation, the position will be part time. Then, we will build from there together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Neuropsychological Evaluation & Consultation:
    • Provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents with a variety of presenting concerns (e.g., ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, genetic conditions, epilepsy, TBI).
    • Manage the full evaluation process: conducting clinical interviews, administering and scoring tests, writing integrative reports, and providing clear, thoughtful feedback to patients and families.
    • Provide consultation to families, physicians, and our internal therapy team, thoroughly reviewing evaluation results and offering actionable strategies for intervention.
    • Consult with potential patients and their families to determine if neuropsychological services are appropriate.
  • Practice Management & Clinical Leadership:
    • Serve as the clinical expert and point person for neuropsychology within the practice.
    • Establish and manage clinical protocols and workflows for neuropsychological evaluations.
    • Select, procure, and maintain a comprehensive battery of assessment tools.
  • Professional Development:
    • Attend classes, workshops, and presentations to maintain licensure and stay current with evidence-based practices and research.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or a related field from an APA-accredited program.
    • Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
    • Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship.
    • Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Texas (or license-eligible with the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire).
    • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred:
    • Board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through ABPP/ABCN, or demonstrated eligibility and intent to pursue certification.
    • Prior experience working in a private practice or an autonomous clinical setting.
    • A strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision).
  • Generous paid time off and holiday pay.
  • A dedicated, fully furnished office space.
  • A substantial budget for testing materials and equipment.
  • Full administrative support for billing, scheduling, and credentialing.
  • The clinical autonomy to lead and shape our neuropsychology services.
  • A warm, collaborative, and supportive company culture.

Synaptic Pediatric Therapies is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
