Job description

Embassy Suites Raleigh Crabtree is searching for a part-time Bartender to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. Compensation is based on experience. Company benefits include 401k, employee discounts, and much more.
The purpose of the Bartender is to oversee the entire bar operation, including, but not limited to, the service of all beverage items, food items and cashier duties following both AURO and the Franchise standards, while ensuring guest satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service.
Essential Job Functions
  • Learns guests' names and uses them to address them; remembers regular guests' favorite drinks.
  • Thoroughly and correctly sets up the bar or lounge prior to opening and cleans at end of shift according to AURO Hotels' policies and brand standards to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
  • Is knowledgeable about all menu items and beverages served; the garnish, contents, and preparation methods. Is aware of all daily specials and "86" items. Can answer guests' questions regarding such with confidence and accuracy.
  • Utilizes suggestive selling techniques to increase check averages.
  • Serve guest order promptly according to service standards.
  • Must have a valid TIPS or other Alcohol Awareness Certification within two weeks of hire and maintain valid certificate throughout employment.

Experience/Education
High school diploma or general education degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
