Job description

Position Summary:
The VIP Attendant serves drinks and food to guests in compliance with all Company and health department standards and policies. Responsible for processing transactions in compliance with Company's procedures as well as knowledge and familiarity of cocktails and prices. Performs side work, such as retrieving glasses and other duties as needed. Maintains VIP Lounge and Bar and serves table games in the VIP area.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Inform immediate supervisor of any product shortages and equipment needs.
3. Responsible to inventory all items behind bar.
4. Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards.
5. Know where the MSDS booklet is located for your area.
6. Display knowledge of all emergency procedures.
7. Inform manager on duty of any Team Member and Guest opportunities.
8. Continuously observe and anticipate Guests' needs in order to fill any and all Guest opportunities.
9. Be familiar with cocktails and prices in order to fill any request for service.
10. Complete assigned side-work and any additional task with a manner of teamwork.
11. Must retrieve all glassware and wash in the pit and slots area surrounding the Bar.
12. Maintain a clean and well-stocked service station, including, but not limited to all glassware, condiments, coffee and dry goods. Responsible to stock all items behind bar (including liquor, beer,N.A. beverages, paper supplies, glassware, etc.)
13. Responsible for all liquor requisitions. Verify the form against the accrual product received and make a notation of all items not received. In bottle for bottle exchange, it is the responsibility of the VIP Attendant to notify beverage management of all shortages and overages on the delivery.
14. Maintain VIP Lounge and Bar while preparing own beverages and serving table games in the VIP area.
15. Must be able to present, cut and properly light cigars.
16. Must possess knowledge of the core wine list items and skill in presenting, opening and pouring of the products.
17. Must fully understand how to operate the point of sales system. Responsible for the handling of Company funds through room charges, comps and cash transactions on the POS system in accordance with the Company policies and procedures.
18. Responsible for all cash variances +/-$10.00
19. Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards pursuant to Graton Resort & Casino's policies.
20. Must be knowledgeable about property amenities and resources and communicate these to our VIP Guests. Must demonstrate teamwork with the casino hosts, table games management and slots, in addition to the beverage management team.
21. Must be able to utilize cleaning supplies including stainless steel cleaner, disinfectants, and all-purpose cleaners.
22. Must possess knowledge of all types of glasses and brand names of products offered. Be familiar with items that may be substituted for others.
