Job description

Summary-

San Antonio Winery is seeking to hire a Part-Time Tasting Room Associates for our Tasting Room in Ontario, CA. The ideal candidate brings a cheerful, engaging personality and delivers exceptional customer service while pouring wines and sharing our family history and culture with guests. While a passion for and basic knowledge of wine is preferred, we are willing to provide training. Proven abilities in sales and customer service within a fast-paced environment are required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Current duties may be changed if the job requires and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.

  • Greet every customer with a smile and a warm welcome.
  • Effectively advise guests on wine selections and drive wine sales at the counter.
  • Ability to answer questions and make recommendations regarding our wine and food menu.
  • Handle routine point-of-sale transactions.
  • Uphold brand standards for maintaining the bar, patio, and private dining rooms.
  • Properly open and pour wine and tasting flights at the counter and tables.
  • Maintain basic cleaning practices.
  • Work effectively with teammates during daily duties and operations.
  • Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications-

  • At least 1 year of experience in a hospitality facing position.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age due to government regulations.
  • RBS and Forklift certification preferred.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • High energy and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn the operation of POS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with little direction.
  • Basic computer and math skills are required.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Available to work consistently on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
