Position: Part Time Athletic AssistantSchedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Additional Hours: Occasional Saturdays for games and special events

Responsible to: Athletic Director/Director of Transportation

Required Qualifications:
  • A deep faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and acceptance of the authority of Scriptures as a guide for faith and living

  • Actively pursues spiritual growth through personal devotions, Bible study, church involvement, etc.

  • Understand and actively support The Christ School mission, vision, and defining characteristics

  • Experience working with students preferred

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Physically able to move equipment (10–25 lbs), navigate campus spaces, and be active outdoors

  • Proficiency in GoogleSuite (docs, sheets, gmail, calendar)

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to effectively traverse possibly uneven ground

  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL or willingness to obtain CDL is a plus

  • Willingness to serve as a fill-in bus monitor when needed

The Christ School is seeking a dependable, energetic, and student-centered Athletic Assistant to support our athletics program. This part-time role plays a vital part in The position reports directly to the Athletic Director/Director of Transportation and will be a member of the Athletic Department.

General Responsibilities: The Athletic Assistant is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, supervising student-athletes, and helping create a positive, Christ-centered athletic environment. The specific responsibilities include:

Athletic Operations & Support

  • Supervise after-school check-in and dismissal to practices/games

  • Track attendance and support athlete accountability

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of athletic facilities

  • Manage and organize equipment distribution and collection

  • Help coordinate use of shared athletic spaces

Student Supervision & Care

  • Supervise student-athletes before and after practices

  • Provide a consistent, positive adult presence

  • Assist with minor needs (ice packs, bandages, hydration)

  • Reinforce sportsmanship, behavior expectations, and team culture

Game Day & Event Support

  • Assist with home game operations (check-in, score table, hospitality)

  • Help manage team and facility flow during events

  • Support visiting teams and officials

  • Assist with special events and athletic programs

Communication & Organization

  • Communicate schedule updates (weather, field changes, etc.)

  • Track uniforms and assist with inventory management

  • Support transportation logistics (bus lists, supervision, departure checks)

  • Assist with onboarding new coaches and volunteers
