Job Description Summary
The College of Professional Studies at Shawnee State University is seeking qualified individuals beginning Summer '24 and/or Fall '24 Semesters to serve as needed Respiratory Therapy Clinical Supervisors in the Department of Allied Health. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis.

  • Teaching experience in related discipline is preferred
  • One to three years of work experience in Respiratory Therapy is required
  • Professional certification/State licensure/RRT credentials*/minimum of Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • *MUST be RRT credentialed

Qualifications can vary depending on experience and courses or programs, but include the following:
  1. Associate, Bachelor's, Master's degree in the respective discipline or related area
  2. Ability to use technology in teaching and healthcare settings
  3. Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
  4. Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction
  5. Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multicultural environment
  6. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evening - daytime availability a plus (in some cases may be required)
  7. Ability to work in the clinical setting and maintain health and shot records/background checks and drug screens as required by the clinical facility
