Job description

Potential Hours: 15-20 hours weekly, Sunday-Thursday's as needed and occasional evenings for special events 
Location: Mount Pleasant
This position reports to: Bookstore and Café Manager
The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others Find God, Grow your Faith, Discover your Purpose, and Make a Difference. The Seacoast Café promotes community by providing high quality products with fast and friendly service, acting in many cases as the face of Seacoast and demonstrating Jesus call to serve others.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • A Calling to Serve

    • Create a valued café experience acting with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Seacoast mission, values, and culture

    • Demonstrate exceptional customer service by greeting guests in the café, operating cash register and handling payments, fulfilling orders, and promoting efficient turnaround in a clean environment

    • Complete customer orders according to proper procedure

    • Set up and maintain coffee stations for weekend services

    • Assist with bookstore sales and inventory as needed

    • Maintain calm demeanor during periods of high volume (Weekend services & Special events) and keep café operating under high standards

  • Accountable Team Player

    • Communicate all availability and inventory needs to Café Coordinator

    • Under direction of Café Coordinator, provide training to volunteers who assist in the café during Weekend services by giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed

    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

    • Serve and then attend monthly All-Staff meetings

  • Familiar with DHEC policies and procedures, proper food handling, preparation and serving

  • Ability to memorize recipes and lift up to 40 pounds

  • Flexible schedule, with rotating weekday/weeknight/weekend shifts along with some holidays
