Job Summary:

Parc Provence, a skilled nursing community, is seeking a Part-Time Art Coordinator to join our team. As an Art Coordinator, you will draw upon the unique healing aspects of the creative arts to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of our residents. This is a unique opportunity to work in a luxurious private pay long-term care community specializing in state-of-the-art memory care for seniors.

Responsibilities:

• Meet new residents, conduct initial art therapy assessments
• Prepare individualized program plans based on assessments
• Maintain documentation/communication with the treatment team on resident progress
• Work closely with Activity Director, Music Therapists, and activity staff on implementing art-related programming
• Provide services in group/individual settings, accept referrals, and provide appropriate interventions when needed
• Complete monthly billing
• Create goals for residents who are on your case load
• Provide programs congruent with the group level of functioning that will address motor skills, emotional status, spatial and body concept, long-term memory, attending behaviors, sensory and acuity perception, and adaptive needs

Qualifications:

• Previous experience and/or special dementia care training a plus
