Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities. Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide speech therapy services to patients with various conditions, such as acute care, ICU, and critical care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and develop comprehensive treatment goals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving communication and swallowing skills
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, and swallowing functions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
