Advanced Delivery Service has partnered with Amazon to provide delivery services to customers in Connecticut. We're looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team. Team Members will be utilizing our cargo vans containing the latest technology and safety features to deliver packages to homes, retail locations, and other delivery locations. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our commitment to exceed customer expectations and make sure customer orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered on time at the right place. Work Environment:
ADCD is a safe work environment, we work as a team to ensure the needs of the business are taken care of while supporting those situations that may call for more TLC.
Flexibility is key, our routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on road congestion, construction, or other factors, potential schedule changes depending on the time of the year, peak seasons. Safety is a Key initiative. We want everyone at ADCD to return home the same way they came into work. All Team member assignments must be conducted with the highest regard to safety particularly while operating the company vehicle. Team members will drive a cargo van daily to many customer residences and businesses, you'll climb in and out of the van, walk up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions.
General Responsibilities:
- Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road
- Interact in a positive and professional manner with customers and the general public while delivering products to customers' homes, retail, and business locations
- Follow up on customer requests or problems with solution-oriented approach keeping the customer informed of delivery progress
- Use handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve issues
- Sort and prepare a delivery route to meet customer promise
- Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times
- May assist in training other team members
- Assist other Delivery team members in completing deliveries when behind
- If needed, carry out delivery station activities including sorting and general tasks
Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 12 hours
- Ability to work 40 hours a week. This position is full-time
- Ability to operate and navigate a 10,000-pound GWVR van
- Ability to effectively operate a GPS
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70 pounds each
- Capable of moving up and down stairs
- Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence
- 21 years of age or older
- Experience driving in all kinds of weather
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
- Clean motor vehicle report (multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must have a strong knowledge of state driving laws
- Must have good English speaking, reading, writing/communication skills

- 1+ years' experience in related field
- Proven track record of reliability
- Excellent attention to detail with the skill set to problem solve independently
