Description:

Position Summary: An Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft to ensure they are in proper working order and meet safety and regulatory standards. They work with various systems, including engines, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft Inspections:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft and components to identify any issues, wear, or damage.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance checks (e.g., A, B, C, and D checks).
  • Identify and resolve any mechanical problems with engines, landing gear, flight controls, or electrical systems.
  1. Repairs and Maintenance:
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning components or systems such as engines, avionics, hydraulics, and more.
  • Replace or repair damaged parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Adjust, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical systems as needed.

2.Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance work, and repairs performed on aircraft.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are logged in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Document all repairs and follow up on parts required for future maintenance tasks.

3.Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with FAA, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies' guidelines.
  • Follow safety protocols to avoid accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and stay updated on new safety procedures and regulations.

4.Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other maintenance crew members, pilots, and engineers to ensure the aircraft is ready for flight.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors to discuss work progress, issues, and completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provide support for the testing of repaired or newly installed systems on aircraft.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Education:?High school diploma or equivalent required. FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working as an aircraft mechanic or in a related field preferred, but not always required. Entry-level candidates with relevant training may be considered.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and mechanics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery used in aircraft maintenance.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and industry safety standards.
