Behavior Technician – $25/hr | Full-Time or Part-Time
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is hiring Behavior Technicians for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy supporting students with behavioral, social, and emotional needs in a structured school environment.
Role Overview
Behavior Technicians provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support, implement intervention plans, and collaborate with school teams to help students succeed academically and socially.
Key Job Duties
Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA or teacher guidance
Provide 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day
Assist students with emotional regulation, coping strategies, and social skills
Collect and document daily behavior data
Support classroom routines, transitions, and structured activities
Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
Communicate effectively with teachers, BCBAs, and school staff
Requirements
Experience working with children required (ABA, schools, childcare, camps, tutoring, etc.)
RBT certification preferred but not required
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
CPR/TB clearance may be required depending on district

Pay: $25/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: Full-time or part-time available
The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
