StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time, Acquisition Specialist/Management Analyst, Journeyman, to join our team in supporting the NAVAIR program office in Pax River, MD. Successful candidates shall meet the minimum experience and education requirements and have demonstrated the necessary skills and experience to assist with the duties listed below: The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Essential Job Duties:
  • Develop, manage and update Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs) across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Assist with development, coordination and approval of contract attachments.
  • Maintain status of PID package as it goes through the procurement process and provide weekly updates for programs. Maintain Procurement Management Tool (PMT) records for each procurement, inclusive of all requirement documents associated with each PID.
  • Monitor and track contract actions to include development, selection, definition, and coordination of acquisition documentation.
  • Attend, participate, and represent the Acquisition Team in IPT meetings.
  • Initiate procurement planning documents such as PMT requests and Procurement Planning Conference (PPC) checklists in support of required contract actions.
  • Assist in developing, coordinating, and staffing acquisition documentation such as Acquisition Plans and Justifications and Approvals (J amp;As) as required.
  • Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.

Experience Requirements:
  • 3 to 10 years experience performing desired duties described above.
  • Must have experience with the NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) suite of tools, SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree in a business, management, or technical discipline.
  • Allowable Substitution: Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree OR Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
