Description Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a Business Administration Instructor. This is a part-time, union, term-by-term, exempt, and non benefits-eligible position. We are interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and candidates that may be from a less traditional background.

Utilize curriculum and instructional support materials as provided by FT program Faculty, including course syllabi, supplementary materials, instructional media and other devices as appropriate; incorporates the latest classroom technology when available and appropriate to instructional activities. Structure classes and curriculum to correspond with the overall program objectives as defined by the lead instructor within the Business program area (General Business, Admin Office Professional, Human Resources, Accounting, Project Management); prepares clear objectives for students for each course in line with the stated Student Learning Outcomes of the course. Understands, develops and provides a learning environment that supports diversity and incorporates sensitivity to diversity within the college community.

Responsible for classroom and departmental equipment and provides for the security of facilities and instructional materials as appropriate. Understands and abides by college policies and regulations and other policies, procedures and materials as required by the college, departments or divisions. Convenes classes on time and as scheduled.

Maintains evaluation and grading records for assigned students; enters grades and provides all necessary documentation for incompletes within established college timelines and guidelines. Understands and uses the college's learning management system in teaching all classes whether online, remote, or in-person. May provide assistance to other department personnel as workload and staffing levels dictate.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements Masters in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business-related fields required (unless otherwise specified for individual courses). Extensive professional experience directly related to the subject matter may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement, depending on the scope and duration of the experience. In the absence of such extensive experience, a Masters degree in Business or a related field is mandatory.

A Master of Arts in Teaching within the subject matter may also be considered in fulfilling education requirements. Five years of related full-time equivalent non-teaching work experience related to the subject areas teaching required. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with colleagues and staff.

Commitment to teaching as a profession and to ongoing professional development. Enthusiasm, creativity, and energy in classroom teaching resulting in a very positive experience for students. Ability to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives and abilities.

Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated successful teaching experience with a diverse student body such as that found at a comprehensive community college. Demonstrated recent experience working in business and industry, owning a small business, and/or internship position. Demonstrated experience developing curriculum and designing courses, including online and special needs classes.

Demonstrated experience using technology platforms including digital presentation systems for use in presentations. Working Conditions / Work Environment Work environment includes classroom, lab, or other setting as appropriate.
