Part-time Bookkeeper

Job Description

The Part-time Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing payables, receivables, and pre-invoicing processes. This role includes generating bi-monthly invoices, assisting with payroll, handling collections, maintaining bookkeeping files, and providing financial reporting. The Bookkeeper will also assist with monthly bank reconciliations and year-end financial tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Enter payables, run payable reports, and process checks for payment.
  • Record deposits from copies received from designated sources.
  • Perform journal entries, post timesheets/expense reports, and generate pre-bills for planning and design.
  • Generate and email bi-monthly invoices to clients, update billed revenue reports, and prepare statements.
  • Assist the Executive VP with payroll by ensuring staff submits time/expenses and sending necessary changes to the payroll company.
  • Send emails regarding outstanding invoices and request immediate payment, and run aged accounts receivable reports.
  • Maintain bookkeeping files accurately.
  • Provide weekly financial reports including cash journal, outstanding payables, receivables, and collection updates.
  • Collaborate with the company accountant on year-end tasks and provide necessary information for completion.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations alongside the Executive Vice President.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned to accurately record day-to-day financial transactions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working with DELTEK VANTAGEPOINT.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits
