Overview 


The Accounts Receivable Clerk provides administrative and transactional support to the Accounts Receivable department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer payments, account maintenance, and related activities. The AR Clerk plays a key role in supporting daily operations, department growth, and the successful implementation of the business's ERP system. 


This is a part-time role, approximately 10-15 hours per week initially, with the potential for additional hours based on business needs. 


Responsibilities 

  • Apply customer payments accurately and timely 
  • Generate and email customer invoices, statements, and payment reminders 
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts 
  • Research payment discrepancies and remittance details 
  • Assist in gathering supporting documentation for dispute resolutions 
  • Assist in preparation of deposits 
  • Review customer deductions, credits, and chargebacks for accuracy 
  • Maintain accurate records and perform other Accounts Receivable duties as assigned 

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred 
  • Detail-oriented with data entry experience 
  • Ability to work with sensitive data in a professional manner 
  • Experience with ERP systems, a plus (Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) 
  • Microsoft Excel skills (data entry, tracking, etc.) 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Proven ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Interest in cars and car care, a plus!
