Job description

A reputable non-profit organization in the Seattle, WA area is partnering with LHH to identify a temporary to hire Junior Accountant for their team. This individual will need to be comfortable changing tasks quickly and be able to navigate through different software systems easily. The ideal candidate will have at least a year of accounting or administrative experience. This position is fully onsite in downtown Seattle but flexibility will be offered after training. Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice entry, payment tracking, and collections support.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities by gathering documentation and resolving discrepancies.
  • Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain vendor and customer records while responding to accounting-related inquiries.
  • Assist with financial reporting, audits, and special projects as assigned by the accounting team.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • One or more years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience, including internships or relevant coursework.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
