Job Title: SEASONAL - PARKS

Department: Public Works & Parks Division: 

Reports To: Parks Supervisor, Parks Manager, or Director

Pay Range: Seasonal Status: Temp-Seasonal

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: Position assists Park crew members in various capacities on a seasonal basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Cuts weeds and trims trees along county roads and in county parks.
  • Assists in maintaining related county buildings and grounds.
  • Operates air tools or light equipment.
  • Assists with work in county shop. 
  • Assists with set up for park events such as fairs, craft shows, livestock shows, large meetings, etc

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs related work as directed.

Requirements

License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver's license required.

Experience: Experience in turf maintenance and mowing is preferred.

Abilities: Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions. Ability to maintain effective working relations with employees and general public. Willingness to work in unpleasant weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to safely operate equipment as directed.
