Job description

The Swedish OBGYN Service Line is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist to join a newly developed program in Issaquah, Washington. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a comprehensive team providing coverage for Swedish Medical Group employed clinicians, community clinicians, and unassigned patients. The Swedish Issaquah campus feature two OBGYN groups and Midwifery group for paneled patients, a Level II NICU operated in partnership with Pediatrix Neonatologists, and a Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic operated with Pediatrix. The campus has approximately 2,000 deliveries per year.

The OB/GYN Hospitalists primary responsibilities will include delivery attendance, OB ED patient evaluation and treatment, fetal monitoring, surgical assist, midwife backup and ED coverage of OB/GYN patients. Must be comfortable seeing both obstetrics and gynecology patients, performing emergent gynecologic surgeries and demonstrate a strong level of experience.

Position Details:

  • Part-time position at 0.5 FTE with 75 shifts per year
  • 1 OB/GYN Hospitalist in-house per 12-hour shift
  • The hospitalist team consists of 4.4 FTEs, including a Medical Director, and 3 Per Diem physicians
  • Private, on-site call room dedicated to the Hospitalist

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation is between $326,859 and $388,553 per year
  • Compensation per year is based on 1.0 FTE
  • The total compensation package may include base compensation, quality incentives, and for those interested, extra shift compensation as well as PTA and CME allowances
  • Comprehensive benefits include health, vision, dental and retirement
  • Sign on bonus and relocation eligible position
  • As a non-profit organization, Swedish is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program

The 80-bed facility provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient specialty care, including oncology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency, intensive care and a host of specialized surgical services. The Swedish Issaquah emergency department received the prestigious Summit Award by Press Ganey Associates for maintaining patient satisfaction scores in the 95th percentile or above for at least three years.
