Parking managers oversee the operations at a parking lot. In this role, you may check ticket displays in cars to ensure each customer pays appropriately for their space, request custodial crews to clean up messes in the lot, and review sales strategies to improve lot occupancy. Your specific job duties depend on the size and customer base of the lot. In smaller lots, you may be the only employee on-site, responsible for all operations during your shift. At large or premium lots, you may oversee a small team of personnel who park and retrieve vehicles for customers. This job title generally refers to paid parking lots; unpaid lots rarely have managers, though you may occasionally find such jobs in high-traffic areas.
| Aspect | Parking Manager | Parking Attendant |

The main difference between a Parking Manager and a Parking Attendant lies in their responsibilities and required experience. Parking Managers oversee parking operations, handle administrative tasks, and coordinate staff, requiring management skills and certifications. Parking Attendants focus on parking vehicles, providing customer service, and maintaining safety in parking areas. Both roles are essential in parking industry operations but differ significantly in scope and qualifications.
