Job description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others? Congregation of Holy Cross (US Province) in Notre Dame, IN, is seeking a dedicated and caring full-time Nursing Assistant to join our compassionate healthcare team at Holy Cross House.

WHAT'S THE SCOPE?

As a Nursing Assistant, you will assist our nurses and provide medical, nutritional, emotional, and spiritual care to our beloved residents (priests), earning a competitive base pay of $17 - $18 per hour. We also offer this medical position fantastic benefits such as:

Your work schedule will be the 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, typically Monday through Friday. You will also be required to work every other weekend and every other holiday, averaging 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period. YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER

As a Nursing Assistant, you will spend your days providing medical, nutritional, emotional, and spiritual care to our residents. You will interact with them in a loving and caring manner, helping to ease the challenges of retirement, loss of privacy, and independence. Your duties will include assisting nurses with daily living activities, performing necessary cleaning and disinfecting tasks, documenting care activities, and ensuring that residents are comfortable and well-cared for. You will also collaborate and report between shifts to ensure seamless communication of resident care.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of related experience
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Ability to use common patient care equipment
  • Professional appearance and a caring attitude
  • Respectful of the religious beliefs of the congregation
  • Verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

CNA training and experience working with geriatric populations and psychosocial behavioral issues is preferred!
