Job description

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paraplanner to support the firm's financial planning process, case design, and client implementation workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complexity into clarity and wants to grow within a high-level planning environment focused on attorneys, business owners, and complex financial cases.

The Paraplanner serves as a key operational and analytical support role within the planning team and works closely with advisors, the Project Manager, Investment Consultant, and Service Lead to ensure planning recommendations are accurate, organized, and implemented efficiently.

This is not a sales role.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning Support

  • Assist in preparation of comprehensive financial plans

  • Maintain and update client data within eMoney and internal systems

  • Build and update net worth statements, cash flow analyses, retirement projections, and insurance summaries

  • Support plan modeling and scenario analysis

Case Preparation & Analysis

  • Assist advisors in preparing for discovery and strategy meetings

  • Gather and organize client documents and financial information

  • Prepare planning observations, recommendations, and implementation notes

  • Coordinate planning deliverables and follow-up items

Workflow & Implementation

  • Track planning tasks and deadlines within workflow systems

  • Coordinate implementation items between advisors, clients, custodians, and vendors

  • Assist with account paperwork, transfers, and operational follow-through

  • Maintain documentation standards and file organization

Team Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with:

  • Advisors

  • Project Manager

  • Investment Consultant

  • Service Lead

  • Participate in planning meetings and internal case discussions

  • Support continuous improvement of planning workflows and SOPs

Qualifications

Required

  • Familiarity with eMoney or similar planning software
