Paralegal Assistant
Drive Operational Excellence
At Ashurst Perkins Coie, our people are our greatest asset. We're looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented Paralegal Assistant to join our Litigation team and help deliver an exceptional employee experience.
In this role, under general supervision, support paralegals with document and information management, indexing, filing, and trial notebook preparation. Provide back-up support to the Managing Clerk for court filings, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely execution. This job is onsite, in-office daily.
What You'll Do
Litigation Support
  • Provide comprehensive litigation support across discovery, document management, and trial preparation.
  • Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, evidence, and attorney/matter notebooks.
  • Summarize reports, articles, witness statements, and depositions with accuracy and clarity.
  • Gather factual information and documents from clients, third parties, and government agencies.
  • Draft, revise, format, and distribute legal documents and correspondence.
  • Efficiently manage electronic and hard-copy document searches, retrieval, scanning, and production.
  • Maintain databases, practice group forms, systems, and document resources.
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for internal and external distribution.
  • Track matter budgets and maintain Excel spreadsheets and accurate time records.
  • Provide dependable, responsive support while meeting Firm attendance expectations.

What You'll Bring
Qualifications & Core Competencies
  • Strong document and information management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across attorneys, paralegals, clients, and professional teams.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with court dockets and litigation workflows.
  • Accurate typing speed of 50 WPM.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Requires high school diploma and a minimum of one year of related work experience, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Paralegal Assistant or legal support experience preferred. AA or BA degree preferred. Paralegal Certificate a plus.
