Job Description:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Provides hands on sorting and preparation support for producing accurate quality and quantity of recycled paper stock for mill customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities. Attends required safety training and participates in emergency drills and exercises.
  • Reports all safety and quality problems to the Production leads or Production Manager.
  • Sort materials, such as paper or plastics, into appropriate piles for further processing.
  • Remove all foreign materials, such as metals, wood, and plastics, depositing materials into collection bins
  • Stack and band pallets and Gaylords per requirements of facility
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent).

Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to show up for all scheduled shifts
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk/bend/ lift continuously and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $17.55 - $28.03annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $18.50 to $19.50. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
