Process Engineer - TAD Paper Machine
Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use. We are committed to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
We are seeking a Process Engineer to support and drive manufacturing performance on our TAD Paper Machine. This role plays a key part in advancing process reliability, optimizing production efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across tissue operations.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Drive process optimization to improve efficiency, output, and overall equipment performance
• Develop and enhance process monitoring tools and reporting using data historian systems
• Lead process trials from concept through execution, analysis, and implementation
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Quality, Operations, and Safety teams
• Analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to improve performance
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and support safety initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to proactive safety improvements on the Paper Machine
• Support capital projects and process enhancements to improve long term operational performance
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication of process improvements
• Support daily operations and provide technical guidance as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Paper Science Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• Experience in a paper mill or process engineering role preferred
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Experience with data historian systems or process monitoring tools preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related systems
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and drive process improvements
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross functional team
