Job description

Location: Plant City, FL

Shift: 2nd Shift

Pay range: $18.00-21.00

Position Summary

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently handling, processing, and preparing materials within the distribution center. This role includes operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, receiving and putting away materials, packaging materials, and operating equipment used to cut, prepare, and retack paper products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts (standard and clamp) to move, load, and unload materials
  • Load and unload trucks, including skidded products and paper rolls
  • Inspect inbound and outbound loads for accuracy, damage, and quality
  • Receive and verify materials against purchase orders and shipping documents
  • Accurately complete required paperwork and system transactions
  • Put away and pull materials from inventory
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Comply with safety procedures and company policies
  • Comply with established quality standards and procedures
  • Comply with warehouse SOPs and cycle times
Equipment Operation & Material Packaging
  • Operate paper cutter machine to cut sheets to required specifications
  • Operate packaging equipment and tools to package materials for shipment or storage
  • Ensure all packaged materials meet quality and stability standards for shipment
Qualifications
  • Prior experience operating standard forklifts required, clamp style preferred
  • Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with packaging equipment preferred
  • Ability to learn and safely operate cutter equipment
  • Ability to read and complete shipping/receiving documents
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
