Job description

Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

4-Day Workweek | $30.19/Hour | Overtime Available

Crusader Paper Company – North Andover, MA

Crusader Paper Company is seeking experienced Machine Operators for our 2nd shift, working Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

This position offers a four-day primary workweek, a 15% second-shift pay differential, and the opportunity for substantial overtime. Depending on production needs, employees may also have opportunities to work additional hours on day or weekend shifts.

Pay & Schedule

  • Base Rate: $26.25/hour
  • 2nd Shift Differential: 15%
  • 2nd Shift Rate: $30.19/hour
  • Regular Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM
  • Additional 10–15 hours of overtime may be available
  • Opportunities for additional day and/or weekend hours based on production needs

New employees may train on first shift for approximately 30–60 days, depending on prior experience and progress. During training, employees are paid the applicable $26.25/hour base rate. The 15% shift differential applies once the employee is qualified and working the 2nd-shift schedule.

What You'll Do

Machine Operators set up and operate industrial equipment used to convert large rolls of paperboard into sheets and to coat and laminate rolls of paperboard with film, foil, or other paperboard products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up and operate heavy manufacturing and paper-converting equipment
  • Monitor equipment and make adjustments throughout production runs
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and production issues
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
  • Handle and prepare materials used in the manufacturing process
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Work closely with other operators and production team members
  • Help maintain production schedules while meeting quality and safety requirements
