Job description

 The Shirt/Pants Presser is responsible for operating pressing equipment to finish laundered garments to a high-quality standard. This role ensures shirts, pants, and other garments are properly pressed, wrinkle-free, and ready for customer pickup while maintaining production efficiency. 

  • Operate commercial pressing machines (steam pressers, shirt units, etc.) to press shirts, pants, and similar garments
  • Inspect garments before and after pressing for stains, damage, or needed re-cleaning
  • Ensure garments meet company quality standards (crisp appearance, proper creases, no wrinkles)
  • Follow garment care instructions and handle fabrics appropriately
  • Maintain steady workflow to meet daily production goals
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of pressing equipment
  • Report equipment issues or garment defects to supervisor
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Assist with sorting or finishing tasks as needed
  • Previous experience in dry cleaning or garment pressing preferred (training can be provided)
  • Ability to operate pressing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time management and reliability
