Position Summary

The Carolina Panthers are hiring a Graphic Designer! Are you someone who is passionate about creativity and design in all its various forms? Do you live and play at the intersection of strategy and process and continuously trek the web, social media, bookstores, and the world around you for inspiration? Are you the type to ask yourself the question of “what if?” and decide to tinker away at a project until you find a compelling creative solution? Are you eager to collaborate with other departments like video production, corporate sales, and community outreach to make the work better? If you answered yes to these questions, then the Carolina Panthers would like you to apply for our Graphic Designer position.

We are looking for a teammate who wants to grow as a designer and create stunning work, one whose love and respect for the work outweighs the perks of working for a professional sports team... we love our team, but the work is why we are here. We are building an in-house creative agency for an NFL team, and we cover multiple disciplines while maintaining a creative and collaborative environment.

Our goal is to bring in an experienced individual with high integrity, a fresh perspective, and a diverse range of skills to help us concept and design amazing and beautiful work daily. Whether it’s in-stadium, out-of-home ads, books and publications, or corporate identity pieces, we want someone who is comfortable hopping in and owning a project from concept to completion.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Produce and design content for revenue driving campaigns, presentations and other projects for sponsorship, marketing, ticketing, and other departments within the organization
  • Work within the brand standards of Tepper Sports & Entertainment subsidiaries to create layouts that reinforce brand style and voice across various visual touchpoints
  • Generate clear ideas, concepts, and design of creative assets from beginning to end
  • Partner internally to optimize creative campaign effectiveness, experimentation results, and collaborate to iterate and improve creative based on data and analytics
  • Constants develop skills and explore new creative techniques
  • Communicate creative ideas within a collaborative environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA in Graphic Design or related concentration
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the Graphic Design field, within an agency or in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge of and/or prior work in sports business sector is a plus
  • Experience developing campaign ads on multiple platforms (run-of-site ads, emails, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge on creating print-ready materials for marketing and ticketing purposes 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Extensive knowledge of design techniques and emerging technologies
  • Expertise in current graphic design practices, including fluency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficiency in Lightroom, Outlook and Microsoft Office on MAC platform
  • A knowledge of photography, composition and lighting is essential
  • Ability to develop motion graphics from scratch and / or existing files is a plus
  • Consistently take initiative to complete tasks and projects with limited supervision
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment, effectively communicate with project managers regarding project statuses and deadlines
  • Must possess a high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Must maintain professional attitude at all times and be receptive to project changes
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a cross functional team
  • Must have an understanding of the role graphic design plays in the marketing and sales process
  • Openness to coaching and differentiating perspectives and operating within a team dynamic
  • Adaptable to change in the work environment and manages competing demands
  • Must be reliable, someone who can be counted on to show up and deliver, day in and day out 
  • Ability to work flexible hours including all game weekends, nights, weekends and holidays

Work Environment

  • Travel less than 20%
