Job description

Position:                          HVAC Technician

Department:                      Maintenance

Reporting Relationship:  Reports to Director, MEP Systems

Status:                              Full Time (Exempt)

Position Summary

Lead the preventative maintenance and repairs on all HVAC equipment. Including critical cooling, pumps, chillers, cooling towers and Building Automation Systems. Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of stadium refrigeration. Provide HVAC support for all stadium events. Develop and maintain CMMS work order system for preventative maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment at Bank of America Stadium, DAS Building, Future Panthers Fieldhouse and Sales office and experience center.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment, chilled water pumps, critical equipment and controls.
  • Oversee HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems across entire TSE portfolio of buildings.
  • Extensive Experience working with a CMMS to complete and track work orders.
  • Assist and communicate with vendors as needed.
  • Provide professional solutions in a timely manner.
  • Provide quality and efficient work to support Venue Operations.
  • Provide periodic support for HVAC repairs at Atrium Health Performance Park in McAlpine (Charlotte FC Headquarters) – average 1 day per month.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7 Years experience and or training in the maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Universal 1 or 2 certification.
  • EPA 608 certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAC units, DX cooling and package units.
  • Experience working with Building automated systems and maintenance software.
  • Proficient in outlook, excel and working on a laptop or tablet.
  • Works well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Must be dependable and willing to be part of a team.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings, and or weekends to support stadium events, including weekends, nights, and holidays when necessary.
  • Must pass pre-employment screens.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for extended period of times.
  • Walking throughout the stadium.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work at heights including ladders, scaffolding and lifts.
  • This job operates year-round and may include working in inclement weather conditions.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions).
