We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Siding Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong carpentry and siding installation background, specifically James Hardie, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. The ideal candidate is hard-working and dedicated to producing quality work. We want to hear from you if you are an experienced Carpenter with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed
  • arrive at the job site on time and ready for the workday, including all necessary hand tools.
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., steel girt, insulation, Tyvek) according to measurements. Fabricate and prep metal trims using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
  • Learn to operate machinery like man lifts, sky tracks, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Carpenter/Siding Installer is preferred
  • Experience with James Hardie, vinyl siding, metal panel, and composite metal panel siding is a bonus
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and codes
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
  • Willingness to work in an outdoor environment year-round.
