Our OEC (Ohio Electric Control) brand is a leading provider of engineered electrical control panels for the water and wastewater industries, along with drip irrigation systems, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This role will work out of our Ashland, OH location.

The job:

As our Panel Fabricator, you will be fabricating parts that will be used to build control panels that keep our business alive. These control panels control the movement of water to cities, municipalities, and homes for our water and wastewater industry clients. You will be responsible for fabricating custom panels, back plates, inner doors, and brackets, along with cutting, forming, and creating openings for mounting components on enclosures per layout. Every day you will cut, bend, file, tap, and punch holes for aluminum and mild steel control panels. This position will also review work orders for errors and suggest ideas for continuous improvement.

The skills you need:

To succeed in this role, you must have experience with:

  • Metal fabrication consisting of drilling, punching, tapping, cutting, etc.
  • Using power tools such as jig saws, power drills and grinders
  • Reading tape measures and following layout drawings and schematics

Experience using a metal shear, break, plasma cutter and hydraulic punch preferred, but not required.
