Job description

Impact Workforce Solutions is hiring for Pallet Builders with manual and clerical inventory support in processing cartons in Reno, NV for a leading national department store and online retailer. Shift: 1st Shift Monday-Friday (5am-1:30pm)
Pay: $19.50 /hr.

Job Summary: The job involves manual and clerical inventory support in processing cartons. The main responsibilities include checking and inspecting cartons, preparing cartons for processing, sorting, and routing cartons, and entering information in inventory systems. The job also involves moving cartons manually or mechanically and performing other manual tasks as assigned. Basic knowledge, familiarity with carton processing equipment, and ability to work accurately and quickly are required. Previous experience of 6+ months in the same or related tasks is preferred.
Job Duties:
  • Manual and clerical inventory support in processing cartons
  • Checks and inspects cartons to reflect accurate quantity and condition for further processing.
  • Prepares cartons for processing by: Locating, preparing, and affixing appropriate labels.
  • Packing labeling, and scanning carons, as required.
  • Sorting and routing cartons.
  • Entering appropriate information in inventory systems as required.
  • Performs processing activities as assigned.
  • Moves cartons from one location to another, either manually or mechanically.
  • Performs other manual related tasks as assigned

Qualifications / Core Competencies / Education:
MINIMUM POSITION SPECIFICATION GUIDELINES

  • Basic Knowledge:
  • Requires ability to understand and follow general and/or written instructions.
  • May involve use of basic math.
  • Familiarity with the use of carton processing equipment (e.g., handheld scanners)
  • Ability to learn computer processing item inventory systems.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly.
  • Ability to determine which prescribed steps to take to resolve identified discrepancies. Previous Experience: 6+months experience in the same or related tasks is preferred.
