Join our team at Terex Utilities and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Finish Painter to contribute to the Terex team in Waukesha WI.

What you'll do
  • Ability to handle a paint gun.
  • Ability to spot if gun is not working properly and do the maintenance if needed.
  • Ability to organize and perform the steps needed in sequence.
  • Ability to prep bodies for epoxy prime coat.
  • Ability to use in house mixing system.
  • Ability to remember all paint numbers and reducer numbers as well as how to mix all types, brands, and the amounts needed.
  • Ability to mix and spray all types of paints such as metallic, acrylic enamels, primers, polyurethanes, spatter paints, molycote, and under coating.
  • Ability to plan ahead for multicolored trucks.
  • Must know how to spot and correct all types of related problems such as paint reaction to each other.
  • Must be able to move to any area of the shop; to be creative and meet strict deadlines as well as endure long hours.
  • Comply with Terex safety and quality standards through error prevention and by meeting such requirements with zero defects.

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and 40-100 lbs with assistance of others or lifting equipment provided
  • A painter is usually assigned to one area but must possess the ability to perform in several areas and will be assigned to several if required.
  • A finish painter must be able to finish paint to exacting mill coverage of primer and paint. Work involves decisions using ingenuity, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Exposure to all kinds of weather.
  • Atmospheric exposure fumes and heat.
  • Certain personal protective equipment is required.
  • Compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety required.

The compensation range for this position is $28.00-$30.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.

**$3k Sign-On Bonus** ($1500 paid at 90 days, $1500 paid at 180 days. Must be an active employee at time of payout to collect the bonus. Employee will be responsible for repaying the bonus if you leave within 1 year of the final bonus payout.)
