Job description

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Flush Bench Operations

  • Perform component flushing, cleaning, and bench preparation according to aerospace manufacturing specifications.
  • Assemble parts and subcomponents following technical instructions, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  • Handle precision components while maintaining required quality and workmanship standards.

Painting & Surface Preparation

  • Prepare oil cooler surfaces for painting through masking, sanding, cleaning, and other required preparation techniques.
  • Apply primers, coatings, and paint using approved aerospace processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor coating quality and finish requirements to ensure compliance with specifications.

Inventory & Material Control

  • Pull components and raw materials from inventory based on production requirements and job travelers.
  • Maintain material traceability and inventory accuracy in accordance with aerospace standards.
  • Report inventory discrepancies and material shortages to appropriate personnel.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete production records, inspection reports, test documentation, and other required manufacturing documentation accurately and timely.
  • Follow AS9100 quality management requirements, company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Other Duties Testing & Quality Inspection

  • Conduct leak, pressure, and structural tests to verify product functionality and performance.
  • Perform final inspections using gauges, measuring tools, and visual inspection techniques, including fin straightening as required.
  • Identify and report defects, nonconformances, and quality concerns.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years expeience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assembly, industrial painting, or quality inspection preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable with PPE, chemicals, painting equipment, and quality tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and working at a bench or paint station.
