Job Description:
The Machine Operator - Paint is responsible for operating powdercoat (blades) and liquid (holesaw) paint equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and shut down paint line
  • Able to work in dust, vapors, etc.
  • Load/unload paint line with product
  • Recognize and react to problems with equipment, make adjustments as required
  • Inspect and verify product according to quality standards
  • Use paint thickness gauge to verify paint thickness
  • Hone turnover belt (powder application)
  • Perform daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) on paint line equipment
  • Inspect, clean, and change out tips on paint guns
  • Perform frequent walk-throughs to ensure equipment is operating properly
  • Change out and add paint as required
  • Check and clean re-claim hoppers
  • Maintain production pace and standards
  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
  • Practice 5Ss

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic mechanical skills

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of machine operation experience preferred
