Job description

Position Summary

Fabuwood is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hands-on UV Paint Line Machine Operator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of our UV coating production line. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of UV finishing equipment while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial paint or finishing operations and possess strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain UV paint line equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production.

  • Set up and adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and quality requirements.

  • Monitor line performance, production output, and product quality throughout the shift.

  • Ensure materials, coatings, and supplies are properly loaded and available to support uninterrupted production.

  • Verify finished products meet company quality standards and specifications.

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of UV paint line equipment.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve minor mechanical, electrical, or operational issues to minimize downtime.

  • Communicate equipment malfunctions and major repair needs to Maintenance and Production leadership.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and production records as required.

Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct regular quality checks and inspections throughout the production process.

  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or process deviations and take corrective action when appropriate.

  • Assist in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend operational enhancements.

Safety & Housekeeping
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the UV paint line and surrounding equipment.

  • Report safety concerns, hazards, and incidents promptly.

  • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and operational audits as required.

QualificationsRequired
  • Previous experience working in a paint production, coating, finishing, manufacturing, or industrial production environment.

  • Experience operating industrial machinery and production equipment.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity standards.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.

Preferred
  • Experience operating UV paint line equipment or automated coating/finishing systems.

  • Knowledge of UV coating applications, curing processes, and finishing operations.

  • Experience working in cabinet manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or related industries.

  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
