Job Description
An Industrial Paint Operator preps, coats, and finishes materials using spray guns, pumps, and automated equipment to meet production specifications. They are responsible for cleaning surfaces, mixing paints, monitoring equipment, maintaining safety standards (PPE), and ensuring high-quality, defect-free finishes in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Prep, clean, mask, and prime parts using solvents, sandblasters, or hand tools to ensure proper coating adhesion.
  • Operate spray guns, nozzles, and conveyor systems to apply paints, coatings, or industrial finishes.
  • Mix paints and coatings according to technical specifications or formulas, ensuring correct viscosity.
  • Inspect finished products for consistent coating, thickness, and defects, making adjustments to equipment as necessary.
  • Clean and maintain paint booths, spray guns, pumps, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow OSHA regulations, handles hazardous materials, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
